Marina Domazou is a Greek-Cypriot contemporary artist and illustrator whose work explores identity as a fluid and continuously forming condition. Her practice moves across painting, collage, mixed media, photography, installation, and character-based illustration, investigating how emotional memory and personal narrative shape the construction, perception, and evolution of the self. Through a visual language that balances clarity and ambiguity, Domazou examines the multiplicity and instability inherent in lived experience.

A central project within her practice, eimastepolles, introduces a universe of emotional archetypes that operate as both self-portraits and collective mirrors. These figures articulate the shifting internal voices individuals inhabit, revealing identity as an elastic space that resists singular definition and remains in constant motion.

Her photographic work extends this inquiry into the external world. In her exhibition “Cycles of the Soul,” Domazou explores psychogeography through the lens, tracing how emotional states imprint themselves onto physical environments and how landscapes, in turn, shape inner experience.

Domazou holds a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Illustration and Animation. In addition to her studio practice, she founded Mazi Studio in Limassol, a creative hub dedicated to artistic research, workshops, education, and community engagement. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions, including her first solo show in April 2024, marking the beginning of an expanding investigation into image-making, memory, and the poetics of selfhood.

She lives and works in Cyprus.
